Kenya: Our friend Julius in the news + an official report

The Asilong Primary School was spotlighted on the Kenyan National News this week for being one of the first schools in the country to be utilizing the solar-powered laptops in the classroom–laptops deployed to Pokot in 2009 by JWers Alan & Aaron in partnership with One Laptop Per Child of Baylor University. What’s more, our good friend and ongoing partner Julius Sawe is featured several times in the interview!

Looking back a few years also provides the opportunity for us to share the official Kenya Team Report, which formally explains the history of Jacob’s Well’s involvement in Kenya and assesses many aspects of life and culture there. While this document was originally published in 2010, it is still very relevant today and gives a full and detailed overview.
