Race: The System of Racial Inequality, Pt. 2

Last week the JW Justice team kicked off our Fall Institute called “Racial Realities & The Christian Identity.” This institute, open to all, explores several issues at the intersection of race and Christian identity, including identifying white privilege and how that recognition demands accountability in pursuing justice, diversity, and equality. As we continue in our course this week, we thought we’d share a few of the resources from the class with the blog community.

First, read this article called “Unpacking the Invisible Knapsack” by Peggy McIntosh, which explores the realities of white privilege. Then (after watching last week’s video post), watch this video of a young man explaining why he can never seem to escape the color of his skin.
