Full of creatives who are experts at their craft, the Strawberry Swing is the Midwest’s favorite indie craft fair. Founded in 2011, The Strawberry Swing has become a Kansas City tradition, with two fairs: The Summer Swing and The Holiday Swing! This year, proceeds from both events — including the upcoming Holiday Swing — are benefitting our very own Rosedale Ridge After School Program!
Strawberry Swing’s goal is to create an indie craft event that becomes nationally known as a “place to be” for all lovers of handmade and recycled/upcycled items. Buzzfeed recently recognized the event as one of the Top 35 Indie Craft Fairs in the World! They support small businesses and the handmade craft movement as well as saving our environment through the sale of recycled or ‘upcycled’ items (“upcycling” is the process of converting waste materials or useless products into new materials or products of better quality or for better environmental value) — all acts of justice happening in a local and creative way.
So mark your calendars for December 5 and 6, and support the local economy and the Rosedale Ridge program by doing some shopping at the Strawberry Swing. Big thanks to the folks at Strawberry Swing for supporting Rosedale!
